Introduction
Hello and welcome to our class page. We are the Seedlings and we are taught by Mrs. Jones and supported by Miss. Williamson.
Learning for this term
We LOVED our Autumn topic on World War Two and there was so much interest, enthusiasm and heaps of amazing questions from the children, we were sorry when it came to an end. However, we were excited to jet off on our Spring topic 'Around the World' where we met great explorers and had the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with the climate, culture and landmarks of many different countries around the globe. It is now our last term of the year (time flies when you're having fun) and we are looking forward to learning all about The Romans. Please enjoy reading our Curriculum Map for the Summer Term 2023.
Forest School
Every week, we enjoy our Forest School session with Mrs. Jones, on-site in our Secret Garden. During forest school, we have the opportunity to connect with nature, learn forest skills, take risks and work on important character traits such as resilience, perseverance, communication, creativity and team-work. Plus, we have a lot of fun just getting muddy!
Examples of learning
Taking risks in Forest School with a barefoot walk.
Foraging for blackberries at the community orchard and tasting the yummy blackberry and apple crumble that we made.
Connecting with nature in our own Secret Garden.

Here is our September Newsletter and Curriculum Map for the Autumn Term 2021. Our topic this term is called Village Heroes. We will be learning all about our amazing home town and trying to make a difference in our community.
We have already been foraging in our community orchard this term and we are looking forward to lots more local trips researching land use, conducting fieldwork and making maps of our town. We are also looking forward to a class trip to Sunart Fields.
