End of Year Attainment and Progress

PUPIL ATTAINMENT JULY 2018

For smaller schools, reports of attainment are affected more by the make-up of a cohort as each child is 'worth' a larger percentage figure. Figures should therefore be read with an understanding of this.

DISADVANTAGED PUPILS

We are also challenged as a school to deliver the same outcomes for disadvantaged pupils, compared to their peers. We are an inclusive school and work hard at supporting all pupils. A review of progress during 2016-2017 shows our disadvantaged pupils make similar progress to their peers and this is also really encouraging.

We are also able to report an excellent overall school attendance figure. This reflects children at Newtown Primary enjoying being at school and parents working within the school’s Attendance Policy in terms of minimising term-time absence.
